While working with our customers, IFM’s owner came to the realization that solid rubber tires like the kind commonly found on forklifts, were being thrown into landfills without any attempt to recycle them. The steel rims and the solid rubber are both recyclable materials but only if there is a way to separate the two.
So IFM started to build the Tire Stripper (patent pending). This machine shears the rubber off the steel rim of a tire in about one minute. If the rim is in good shape, it can be retread and recycled. If the rim isn’t salvageable, it can be
sold as scrap metal. The rubber can also be utilized in a variety of recycled rubber products.
Several Tire Strippers have been sold in North America. A variety of tire rims sizes can be accommodated and Tire Strippers owners have been very pleased with how quickly they have recouped the money spent on purchasing this product.
