The steel rims and the solid rubber are both recyclable materials but only if there is a way to separate the two.<\/p>\n<p>So IFM started to build the Tire Stripper (patent pending). This machine shears the rubber off the steel rim of a tire in about one minute. If the rim is in good shape, it can be retread and recycled. If the rim isn&#8217;t salvageable, it can be<\/p>\n<p>sold as scrap metal. The rubber can also be utilized in a variety of recycled rubber products.<\/p>\n<p>Several Tire Strippers have been sold in North America.
